ReplyDeleteMaybe, PM. But, is it worth exploring? Many black men have been exposed to more white women than black. Yet, they dated nothing but black women. Also, yes, one man - but why do many of our black men (high profile ones) somewhat reject black women? Wesley Snipes comments??
We can say, 'the white girl is who he (black man) likes/loves' - but is there something more? Like a hatred that we have for the skin that we are in, and likeness/fondness to white...? Out of 11 women and counting, not one black for Tiger. That speaks volumes, PM.
And, I am not trying to be offensive to black guys who date white women. I have before, and I will tell you that my reasoning was NOT because I just liked her. It was deeper. Much deeper.

If this is the case for others, Why in the world would anyone love the state of blacks in America? Why would men like Tiger want to associate himself with such foolishness? Maybe Tiger has a hatred for the skin he is in. THANK GOD, that Black women, LOVE THE SKIN we are in. And ONE of the best parts about that is.... When we age......YOU never know. That's because we are made of DNA, that is of EXCELLENCE. Worthy to be with.
So Tiger...aka "Cheetah"....can continue his scandious behavior. Not judging him, don't have too, the world is doing a good job of that on its own.

After dating the wrong black women and dating black women who refused to appreciate me because of their baggage, I had to ask myself, Why in the world would I limit myself or settle for the drama that came from a 'being' that's suppose to uplift me? By the way, I would not call it "dating". I was involved with white women.
Also, I feel kinda 'funny' talking about white women like they are not worthy of a me or any other brother............................they are just as worthy as black women. I am just curious why Tiger ONLY got involved with white women. Self hatred is the easy answer.Perhaps, he looked at the current state of black people, and decided he was not interested in being associated with our mess/foolishness. I will tell ya, and you know this, we do make it difficult to love us when you think about what we once were...

ReplyDeleteI think my porn comment was relative because we all knwo what is right and wrong but I can tell you that I believe that on of the secrets to being faithful is recognzing your weakness. What men don't say outloud because its not proper to do so is that many of us will desire other women. It's understood and implied but it doesnt say that we have to cheat. But if women think that their men don't ever have these thoughts its crazy. My point was that many of us can say what we would have done but then again we aren't Tiger. My point about the fact that sometimes we as men are tested. We pass those tests most of the time if we have any kinda resolve but when is the last time any of you guys had the test of some porn star? NEVER. Maybe you don't watch it so I'll give you that but seriously its a true fact. Someone on here posed the question to the women on whether they would sleep with Tiger. No one answered which is fine but as we judge all of these people in the situation we should be reminded that they are not us and we are not them so our judgements are biased. That was my point Pat.
Brian I knew at some point someone would bring this up. I knew through all of the crap goin on someone would say "he must hate black women because all of the mistresses were not black" Two things. First how do we know there aren't more and they are keeping quiet? And secondly wtf cares? What is this obesssion with the color of the skin of someone else's companions?
How does his taste in women have anything to do with him hating his skin? Let's remember that he is half black and raised by a woman from Thailand (his mother). Why are black people so offended that he embraces all of his hertiage instead of just being black? Are we that in NEED of everyone famous and succesful to be black that we get so upset when the person doesnt marry a black women or say, Yes Im black? Self hatred? I think we should apply that more to the our people that rob and kill each other.
There is a stigma though with some guys dating white women that seems to be some passed down thing. I know tons of nfl guys who seem to only like white women. They don't even look at black women. But I am not sure we can lump Tiger with these guys because they do it just to say they have a white woman and I am not sure he is like that. But then again, he is way different than I could have imagined.
When he was asked about it when a reporter asked him he said referring to him as black exclusively would be denying his mother. That's how he feels. It's his perogative so people who are upset with it have their own issues.
I love my wife and our awesome son and I can tell you for certain I DONT HATE MYSELF. HAHA

Also any HUMAN should know that men and women have desires for other people at times outside of their mates. Let's move on from Tiger! When we look at how earnestly they've worked to make the Black woman seem like a promiscuous and sexually obsessed oddity, they've worked just as hard to portray the damsel in distress, the fragile, helpless creature, the chaste woman in waiting when it comes to that group of women. I know nobody wants to talk color, but we didn't start this identification by color; they did, and it has trapped us all in its deceitful and loveless web.

ReplyDeleteI have been reading from the sidelines and couldn't agree with you more... on this point and the point about the Porn Star*, (and Trust me just because we're brother's doesn't mean we agree on everything for those who may be thinking that I'm cosigning out of familial obligation).
NAY has a good point..... The media will make these women to look like damsels that have been victimized by Tiger's aggressive sexual prowess when in fact ALL OF THEM knew exactly what they were doing. Pat unfortunately you are right too in that if these were black women, other black women would be the first to chime in and call them whores and homewreckers. Not saying they aren't thinking it about these women but they sure aren't vocal about it. Part of it may be due to the fact that many black women have resigned to the fact that Tiger doesn't acknowledge the Black side of his heritage so they write it off as 'Who Cares' and 'He's Getting What He Deserves'. In any event, we can't force the media to play fair but we can certainly voice our opinions to ensure that they know we're not asleep.
*About the whole porn star analogy... I guess I don't get Larikus' point. It seems to me the original point was that Tiger was of an upper echelon because he was tempted and had the opportunity to sleep with a porn star when most of us mere mortals will never have that opportunity. Doesn't make sense for several reasons because: A. Tiger apparently slept with a lot of women, most of them not porn stars. B. Many men have the capability and HAVE had and juggled several if not more than several women at one point and time (this has gone on throughout the ages.. ain't nothing new) and trust me, you don't have to be of a certain tax bracket to do this. C. What the hell does a porn star have to do with it. To be honest, I have seen PLENTY of women that look better than this (and a lot of other) Porn Stars and have been with some that may not be getting paid for their skills in bed but certainly have it. The bottom line is, some men are addicted to NEW PUSSY... Porn Star or not. Tiger's PUSSY just happens to be all of a certain type or persuasion. Personally, it seems to me that he has more of an issue with power and control and it manifested itself in this debacle.
In any event, I'm done with this subject.... Until the next scandal.

Hopefully the silence means some of us are waking up to realizing that it may be better to look in the mirror more than join in on judging someone else's faults. We are conditioned to hate ourselves because of real reasons. We fail to focus on moving beyond the reasons so we can be loving, caring, and respectable to each other. The white girls get a pass from being called a whore bag because she white. While on the other hand black women hate each other so much that the women if they were black would be nasty azz whores. Another distinction: If a white boy wears his pants below his hamstrings not many blacks say a word. If a black boy does it the black boy is a stupid azz ni**er. I went to HPU and white boys dressed this way all the time...I NEVER said a word. When my nephew and his crew started to do it I got irrate...I have had to check myself on this!
Why should you love blackness when we have not done enough to ensure that there is a reason to love blackness? Tiger may not have ever thought there was a reason to embrace his blackness because to be quite honest blackness's reputation is tainted because of black people. Where is the positive in that?

ReplyDeleteIt's ok to not get the comment. I tried to explain it 3 ways but it is what it is. I am not sure if anyone is shocked that we didnt get many responses to the question below. But then again the women weren't black so the question will remain why not. There is a fact in this whole thing. ALL of these women knew they were married and they participated because they did not care. Then in a shameless attempt to get money they all come out of the woodwork. How does that make them look? They don't care because VH1 will make a reality TV show called Tiger's cubs search for love or something stupid and we will watch because more people watch reality TV than Kramer on MSNBC or Bloomberg. Not because they understand the latter but the former is not that important to them.
I hope none of them gets a deal at all. Kissing and telling is a no-no anyway. Why does no one question their moral fiber? The media is after TIGER not them. They can be powerful but if Kobe can come back so can Tiger.
